Michael Szczublewski B.M, M.M., is a trumpet teacher in Maryland and freelances in the Washington, D.C /Baltimore, MD area currently serving as Principal Trumpet in The Trinity Chamber Orchestra since 2006.

Michael maintains a private trumpet studio in Clarksburg, MD and his students are consistently accepted into area honors ensembles, youth orchestras, summer festivals and music colleges.  He is sought after for workshops, coaching, and sectionals in area schools. In the past, he has served as adjudicator for county and state festivals in New York as well as Anne Arundel, Prince Georges, Fairfax, Howard and Loudon counties. Michael has K-12 music certification and earned his National Board-Certified Teacher status in music during his tenure with the Montgomery County Public Schools where he led numerous award winning ensembles. He received a Bachelor of Music in Trumpet Performance and Music Education from The Fredonia School of Music (State University of New York at Fredonia), and received a Master of Music in Trumpet Performance from The State University of New York at Stony Brook.

As an artist, Michael has performed throughout Canada, New England, and the East coast as a soloist and ensemble member. He has performed over 30 World-premieres and was a first-call studio musician in New York City. Michael has shared the stage with legends such as Aretha Franklin, Arlo Guthrie, and Chris Vadala. Michael has performed on Broadway, The New York Aria Group, The New York City Ballet, Buffalo Philharmonic, The Long Island Symphony, and Erie Philharmonic.  Additionally, he has performed at many venues from small intimate settings to large stadiums including Carnegie Hall, 92nd Street Y, Lincoln Center, Kennedy Center, and Strathmore Hall.

Teachers include Ron Anderson (New York City Ballet), Phil Christner (Buffalo Philharmonic), Ron Barron (New York City Ballet), Grant Cooper (SUNY Fredonia), and Howie Shear (LA freelance trumpet/composer).
